Our precious Gracie (3 years 10 months old) died from a tragic accident in our backyard. I'm documenting our story for my family, other grieving families, and to process the overwhelming feelings in my heart. My feelings are raw, my emotions are real, my tears are unyielding and my pain is unrelenting. As you read, please don't take it personally. It's not personal or rational.....it's grief and it's mine.

- My daughter died April 6, 2013. I kept a journal before and since her passing. My journal entries are the content of this blog. Although everyone grieves differently, I hope to give other grieving families and their friends an insight to grief. If I could go back and give any advice to those around me it would be, "Rebecca is going to be mad, sad, angry, hurt, emotional and that's ok, that's grief. Be patient, kind, and refrain from judgement or expectations for her to "be normal" because in 4 years, she'll have found her new normal and your actions now will determine if she wants to make you part of it."
